Thank you.

Sharing and Healing while Mourning our Children Foundation was formed by three Jewish bereaved mothers, Eve Bandler, Carole Lieberman and Susan Weiner, in 2014.

We are a Foundation that funds support groups for parents who have suffered the devastating death of a child, at any age, due to any circumstance. It is our mission to ease the pain and isolation such a tragedy leaves behind, and to provide support to one another as we rebuild our lives.

There are no fees to be a participant in a support group. Groups are funded solely by grants and personal charitable donations, often from families and friends of families who have been impacted by such a loss.

In the short time since our inception, we have brought together bereaved parents and watched them reclaim their lives as they find new friends who have suffered a similar loss. We have learned that there is comfort in being with others who understand the complexity of our loss, and who can best support us through difficult times. We feel unthreatened, enlivened and relaxed when we are together, able to speak freely without being judged or abandoned. We have brought people out of their homes, and we have helped to create new friendships.

Our support groups and any other projects are aimed at us helping each other, reaching out to those who need us, giving many a new and positive outlook on life.
