On Friday, October 13, as part of a company-initiated volunteer day, four employees from The Michaels Organization joined with JCF Board member Harv Cohen and Assistant Director Mike Staff to take part in a cleanup of New Camden Cemetery. The group, pictured at right, worked for about two hours in sunny, cool fall weather.
The JCF oversees two Jewish sections of the cemetery, which is well-over a century old and located at the intersection of Ferry Ave. and Mt. Ephraim Ave.
The Michaels Organization operates nationally but is based in Camden. Many employees took time out of their workday to beautify the City of Camden as a way to give back to the community.
While at the cemetery, the group removed multiple bags of leaves, branches, and other debris, which will go a long way in helping to enhance the appearance of the grounds ahead of the Shamos Burial on Sunday, October 29th.
Thank you to The Michaels Organization volunteers for your support, we hope to be able to do this again next year!
