On October 27th, for the second year in a row, the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey hosted a Joint Annual Meeting to recognize honorees, install lay leaders on each agency's respective Boards, and provide updates to the community. A video recording of the event can be found via JLink (free subscription required).
During the program, Jewish Federation President Harry A. Platt installed the following community members to the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc.'s Board of Trustees:
President: Robert Elias
Vice President: Andrea Levin
Board Member: Jodi Levine
Board Member: David Ostrum
Mazel tov, Robert, Andi, Jodi, and David! Thank you for your service to the JCF and the community, and we look forward to working with you in taking the JCF to new and exciting heights during the next year and beyond.
In addition, longtime JCF lay leader, donor, and past-President Valerie Gladfelter has rotated off the JCF Board. Valerie's many contributions to the JCF have helped our agency thrive and benefit more donors and partner organizations; hers is a wonderful legacy. Valerie has also established several endowment funds including the Valerie Gladfelter Scholarship Award for young women pursuing higher education. Thank you, Valerie for all of your support of the JCF and community!
Last but certainly not least, the Federation presented the esteemed H. Richard Dollinger Community Service Award to JCF donors Emily and Milt Gottschalk, a much-deserved honor. Yasher koach to you both!
Milt is a past-President of the JCF and helped establish the Mildred Soefer Scholarship Fund Award for students in need who are pursuing higher education. In addition, this year, Emily and Milt committed to the Federation's Heroes Campaign by establishing a new endowment fund to benefit the Federation for future generations. Together, they are helping to ensure our Jewish community's future, and we thank them dearly for their generosity.
The JCF is fortunate to have the support of so many tremendous community members like those who were recognized last night. Thank you to all who make our JCF and our community a better place.
